Bruce McWilliam was born in Ontario and began painting before he left high school.
He spent summers as a boy at his great uncle's maple sugar, dairy and beef cattle farm along the banks of Lake Memphremagog in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
It was there that he grew to love the country, the open space, changes in weather and light and the rural lifestyle. Bruce has drawn and painted for several years and studied art history at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.
Besides his dedication to being an artist, Bruce enjoys self employment as an urban land planner and design consultant.
