I was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB but have been working and living in Calgary for the past 20 years. I have been creating art since I was a wee lad, and have always had a passion for creating art using pencil and pen/ ink. I have a long farming history in my family and by living in Calgary I'm so close to the mountains, which provides me with an abundance of subject matter to incorporate into my art.
Most of my work tends to focus on nature, with a human object or two thrown in as I believe that humans and wildlife/nature can co-exist in an environment of mutual respect. When adding human elements, I always try to depict a positive message - the persistence of nature in recapturing what once belonged to the earth.
