I am a proud member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte. I started my fiftieth year here in Eastern Ontario.
I originally became interested in my chosen media, photography in my early teens. I purchased a Minolta SLR and a couple of lenses. During the early 1990s, I travelled a fair amount in the United States and photography allowed me to document the many sights I saw.
Primarily my work is landscape photography and typically I do little to none post processing with the digital images. Having worked with digital cameras since they first became available, I learned the various techniques basically thru trial and error and reading. The benefit of digital is I can see the results in the field and adjust accordingly for the next attempt.
I still travel to capture great images to share, I now enjoy also telling stories associated with the photos. At times I hope that the photo is able to capture the mood that was present during the moment.
The most difficult aspect that I find is the ability to capture the full effect of low light and shadows that the eye sees at the time of clicking the shutter. If you are interested in doing this use all the resources available to you via the internet.
