Lynn Nugent was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia with an undeniable love for both creating and travel. After years spent in Victoria, BC, Kelligrews, NL, and the Dominican Republic, she has now found a new home in Ontario.
A self-taught artist, Lynn works mainly in graphite & watercolour pencil, as well as venturing into pen & ink and watercolour. Retiring from a career in administration has given her more time to focus on her lifelong love of art and to building a new portfolio of work.
While a great admirer of the Impressionists and the Group of Seven, Lynn’s own work is firmly rooted in realism. Specializing in subjects such as nature, animals, and still life, Lynn strives to bring the viewer’s attention to the small moments of beauty that can be found in ordinary, everyday life.
Although drawing has been a part of her life since earliest memory, Lynn is new to art as a profession and is enthusiastic about continuing to learn, explore, and embrace new media.
