  Esprit often arranges for school or community groups to attend open rehearsals and concerts free of charge as part of our Audience Access Program. Connecting young audiences with new orchestral music in an accessible way.

• Resources
  
  Esprit provides all student groups who attend concerts with comprehensive study guides, giving students the opportunity to learn more about the composers and performers ahead of time, as well as a clue as to what to listen for in a given piece. This makes for a more interactive and enriching experience for the students.

• Professional Development
  
  Esprit consistently elevates and helps kickstart the careers of emerging composers from Canada and abroad. Whether it be through our annual commissions, or engaging emerging professionals in mentorship opportunities, Esprit aims to foster the next generation of composers by directly helping to grow careers from the ground up.

• In-School Performances
  
  Every season, Esprit runs a music education mentorship program called Creative Sparks. This program culminates in In-School performances of new works created by students, performed by students alongside professional Esprit musicians. • In-School Workshops
  
  Esprit sends composer mentors into schools to workshop music written by the students as part of the Creative Sparks mentoring program. Please see our Community Outreach Program description for more details.

• Outreach Programs
  
  Creative Sparks focuses on the creation of new music by providing hands-on performance and composition opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of musical ability. The program aims to improve artistic and leadership skills, and to develop an awareness of and appreciation for our contemporary cultural environment. Students are paired with a composer over a period of months, and guided in the creation of their own musical compositions. These pieces, many of wonderfully high quality, are then showcased each spring in In-School concerts. The music is performed by student musicians combined with members of Esprit Orchestra. Creative Sparks provides students with the opportunity to creatively engage with professionals in the field of new music.
