The Canadian Network for Arts & Learning, in partnership with the UNESCO Chair in Arts and Learning, is pleased to present a seminar by Dr. Ernst Wagner for an Eduarts Hub taking place on March 8th at Queen’s University. Join us to hear Dr. Wagner speak on how arts education fits into global plans for education, culture and sustainable development.
Dr. Ernst Wagner is a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and executive coordinator of The UNESCO Chair in Arts and Culture in Education at the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Dr. Wagner has been a key leader in international research in arts education and is one of the architects of the newly approved UNESCO UNITWIN Network in Arts Education for Sustainable Development.
Dr. Wagner studied visual arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, and art history and philosophy at the University of Munich, graduating with a PhD in art history. His areas of research are visual arts (history; museum), development of competence, monitoring, and education for sustainable development. He has also exhibited works of art in Germany and the United States.
