The Manitoba Association for Art Education is a non-profit organization of teachers and artists dedicated to promoting, advancing and improving visual art education in the province of Manitoba. Our largest educational workshop series for art educators is the Manitoba Teachers Society Professional Development Day (formerly the Special Area Group of Educators conference (SAGE), which is offered every fall. This series of speakers and workshops is open to elementary, middle school and high school teachers across Manitoba.

Do you want to invite a professional artist to speak with or work with your class? Do you want to bring in an Indigenous Elder or Indigenous Knowledge Keeper to share their experiences and/or cultural knowledge with your students?

MATERIALS & RESOURCES FOR
INNOVATIVE ART PROJECT
Do you want to try something new in your classroom? Take risks and work through the creative process WITH your students? Encourage your students to develop art projects that are personally meaningful, and open-ended? This funding is intended to encourage teachers to take risks in their classrooms, by designing innovative art projects which allow their students to engage fully in the creative process.

WINNIPEG ART GALLERY TOUR AND WORKSHOP
FOR YOUR CLASS
Have you always wanted to bring your students to tour the Winnipeg Art Gallery, but don't have the classroom funding to do so? Are you working in a school where students do not have access to funds to cover their own admission? Take your class to the WAG for a 60 minute interactive tour, and we will pay the cost of admission for each student as well as subsidize the cost of a school bus.
All microgrants must be during the current school year (No later than May 31st each school year)
