- a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on who refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- legally entitle to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE - Research Assistant - $18/hr
35 hours per week for 8 weeks. Position begins on or before July 5, 2021
Located in Etobicoke Centre, ON
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Research Assistant will populate a database that includes an online map of Canada's arts and learning sector, and other resources. The Research Assistant will be a self-starter who is able to work from home with regular meetings, either in-person, online or by phone, and constant communication via email and other digital platforms. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Research
• Research and compile data gathered from various sources, including the internet, online surveys, email and phone calls
• Input data collected into database and ensure map is updated and representational of sector
• Research funding opportunities that are available to the sector and add them to the database/website. Update information on existing funding opportunities, including new deadlines and parameters.
• Report on website usage with data from Google Analytics and other sources
• Research online arts and learning tools to add to the resource database
Database Management
• “Clean” database records, which could include adding information to current contacts to complete their profiles, and/or flagging duplicate records or those that should be deleted
• Input content to our events calendar, including national third-party events
• Work with CiviCRM (customer/constituent relationship management) and Drupal (content management software, or CMS), no previous experience necessary.
Other duties
• Working with other staff, ensure that the database records are maintained and updated in an accurate manner
• Offer input on the functionality and design of the map
• Other duties as required
