  Arts Club theatre instructors can come to your school as well. We offer a variety of workshops: from stage combat to musical theatre, physical theatre, improv and more!

• Group Classes
  
  Creative Teens Theatre: The Creative Teens Theatre program invites students to engage in the creation process for an original and collaborative theatre piece! The class works closely as a “mini-theatre company” to explore how they can express stories that are meaningful to them. During the program, the students will learn a variety of skills that may include: acting, masks, physical theatre, scriptwriting, lighting, sound, and more! At the culmination of the program, the class will present its original theatrical piece on a professional stage. The program is offered for students grades 8-10. LEAP: LEAP (Learning Early About Playwriting), is a dynamic, interactive program for young playwrights aged 16 to 25. Over 165 students have been mentored through the creation of original dramatic works since the program’s inception in 2006. Participants learn the basic principles of playwriting, share their work with classmates, and provide feedback for one another in a safe and supportive environment. Students also receive feedback from theatre professionals and have their plays workshopped and presented to the public in staged readings. LEAP is a full-scholarship program, and is 100% funded by donors and sponsors. There is no cost to the student whatsoever.

  Musical Theatre Intensive: Aimed at young artists with a passion for singing, dancing, and acting, the Arts Club’s Musical Theatre Intensive (MTI) exposes students to the kind of rigorous training typically found only at the post-secondary level and begins their journey toward becoming a true “triple threat” (actor/singer/dancer).

  Free theatre workshops online: We're bringing you workshops from one of our fantastic Arts Club instructors. Play theatre games, connect with other drama lovers, and learn more about theatre—all from the comfort of your own home. https://digital.artsclub.com/workshop Student Workshop Experience: Students and their teachers have a unique opportunity to augment their theatre experience at the Arts Club by taking part in our workshops and behind-the-scenes tours. We offer on-site and in-classroom workshops that are specifically designed to work with the issues and themes of the productions that the students are about to see when schools book their performance tickets. The Arts Club also offers behind-the-scenes tours that can include touring the rehearsal halls, costume shops, administration, and scene/prop shops (depending on theatre location).

• Outreach Programs
  
  Digital LEAP: An outreach component of the Arts Club’s LEAP Playwriting Intensive, Digital LEAP extends our dedication to playwriting instruction across the province. This program connects through high schools to smaller communities in British Columbia and engages directly with youth from grades 10 to 12 and offers online instruction via the internet and streaming technology. Arts Club Drama Club: Serving our local community in creative ways is a priority for the Arts Club. The Arts Club Drama Club offers students from underserved communities an opportunity to access drama education on their home turf.
