Video Pool Media Arts Centre is Manitoba’s only artist-run centre dedicated to the exploration of technology-based art. We aim to inspire curiosity and creative expression surrounding technology-based art forms through presentation, production, distribution, and education opportunities in creative technologies including sound, video, electronics, VR, and physical computing. We house the largest collection of prairie video art in Canada, present work at the intersection of technology and art in our Poolside Gallery, and The Output, our A/V performance and rehearsal venue, provides new opportunities for performance based work.

    We currently run programs connecting technology-based artists with teachers in order to allow students to explore technology in a creative environment.

  • Field Trips

    VP is an excellent field trip destination for people of all ages. We have a gallery, venue, production facilities and an archive of video art. We can put together age-appropriate screening packages at your request.

  • In-School Workshops

    Contact us if you would like VP to put together a workshop package for your school or group. We can provide all the necessary equipment, personnel and teaching materials for you, as well as provide studio and gallery space to exhibit student created work.

    We host an array of performances in our venue, The Output.

  • Group Classes

    We offer a multitude of online classes on technology-based art. Please see our website for upcoming activities.

  • Workshops

    We offer workshops is various technologies and accompanying aesthetics. Our workshops change throughout the year so be sure to check our website regularly. We can also put together custom workshops for you at your request.
