The NSO's Summer Music Camp has a comprehensive programme of classes for children aged 18 months and up to Grade 10 and we make learning and playing music fun! Dedicated music educators welcome complete beginners, and challenge experienced players. Kids who want to just try out an instrument, or those building on their existing skills will find the perfect classes at SMC. Age appropriate classes for primary grades are play-based, everyone enjoys daily recitals by visiting performers, and participates in Music Appreciation activities, Fun Day, student recitals and of course their own Concert Night! Presented by the Niagara Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with Ridley College, Summer Music Camp runs two 2-week sessions in the month of July on the beautiful, secure Ridley campus. For serious advanced students of music, The Academy @ SMC offers in-depth theory lessons, an accredited exam, private, ensemble and repertoire coaching, and a mock audition, an invaluable preparation for admission auditions. SMC and The Academy @ SMC operates a bursary programme, provides special needs support as needed, and is committed to an inclusive and nurturing environment.
