Yuliia Shevchenko was born in Kiev, Ukraine. She began her dance training at the age of five and continued ballet studies until the age of ten at the Kiev State Ballet Academy. After graduating, she joined the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Kiev. Afterwards she worked throughout Europe as a professional ballet dancer.
In 2002 Yuliia joined the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada now Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada.
From 2007-2011 Yuliia contributed her talents to District 2 High School production as a choreographer.
