Amy Ash

Amy Ash is an interdisciplinary artist engaged with collective care through processes of shared meaning-making. Her practice flows from curatorial projects and writing to teaching, socially engaged action, and hands-on making. Blurring the lines between disciplines, she traces connectivity through the intersections and overlaps between memory, learning, and wonder, to incite curiosity and kindle belonging. Often working in collaborations, she hopes to act as a conductor, gently disrupting hierarchies, fostering autonomy, questioning common values, and setting the scene for unexpected connections to be made. Her work aims to carve out space for a polyphony of personal meaning to be created within the context of a shared experience. Playful interventions and experiments stem from this space of curiosity as she facilitates instances where memory, learning and belonging intersect to produce a serendipitous moment where wonder and familiarity overlap.
