Imagination Academy brings an art studio to you! We offer in-school art field trips and Artist in Residence, specializing in printmaking. Our art programs have curricular links to art, social and science for students Kindergarten through Grade 6.

At Imagination Academy our goal is to utilize art to inspire learning and to keep children creatively engaged. We are particularly interested in cross-curricular education. Promoting art as a vehicle to help children with comprehension and retention of subject matter. All printmaking programs have been derived from the curriculum set out for each grade. We encourage students to try out multiple ideas with all art projects, creating a more exploratory and student-driven learning environment.

    Imagination Academy offers four Printmaking Artist in Residence Programs: 1) First Nations: A school-wide theme with an optional tipi installation project. 2) Arctic and the Inuit: A school-wide theme with and optional mural project. 3) Canada Coast to Coast: A school-wide theme with an optional mural project. 4) Division themes with curricular links to science or social and art.

    Linocut Printmaking Programs: Include a visual presentation, drawing lesson, sketches, experience with printmaking equipment, final plate and print.
