My residencies intertwine three instructional components: curriculum, creative and technical. CURRICULUM: My grant workshops are digital arts integrated projects across the new curriculum. Many projects have also involved field studies, and community involvement. Project is designed around the use of digital media, photography, or i-movie videos. CREATIVE: I enjoy fostering creative critical thinking and encourage reflective learning exposure. I want students to engage and explore photography beyond clicking the shutter. I introduce the exploration of the elements of art, then initiate from what they see. I support self inquiry, storytelling, and the sharing of ideas. TECHNICAL: With my strong technology background in photography and digital media, I can instruct the digital technical skills training components of photography, digital media and web video with the use iPads, DSLR cameras, and/ or computers.
