I work in mixed media allowing ideas to grow on the surface I work with. I try not to impose restrictions on the paintings. I let my responses to what I see around me find expression as I work in the same way I allow my knowledge of colour, line and paint be expressed. I let the painting happen without imposing clarity in any definitive way. The titles for each painting emerge as I work and are integral to the piece, sometimes I write them on the painting itself.
