Jo Napier marries portrait art and powerful storytelling to inspire and educate. Her portrait shows include: The Nova Scotia Nine (2011), Female Chemistry: Great Women of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (2016) and Great Women of the Ocean, Earth and Sky (June 2017, NS Archives). Her first portrait collection was acquired for the Royal Bank of Canada’s national art collection. Local commissioned work on public display includes the Spatz Centre’s Portia White portrait. A former Globe and Mail columnist, she is associate producer of PBS documentaries, co-author of Technology With Curves (HarperCollins) and writer of an award-winning NFB documentary.
