Kate Kimberley. I began painting in watercolour just six years ago. I took my first watercolour painting lesson from the Okanagan Summer School of the Arts and so began my love affair with painting!
Diane Estabrook was a wonderful inspiration to a beginner like me and I will always be so very grateful to her for getting me started. I joined the South Okanagan Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists and have been juried to 'Active' status.
I have recently retired and have found it such a joy to spend more hours painting in my leisure time. I am continuing to take lessons, there is still so much to learn. I find that our local Okanagan artists are so generous with their knowledge. The Okanagan Valley is a very special area to be fortunate enough to live and paint.
