Sharlene is an award-winning artist who paints primarily in oils and acrylics. As with many artists, her passion for drawing and painting stretches back to her childhood. Her favourite pastimes were exploring the meadows and forests where she lived and drawing on her mother's writing pad. The spirit of adventure remains and she continues to explore the world, going on plein air adventures with her friends and making art on different surfaces.
Light and colour are an integral part of Sharlene's work, whether they are used to enhance and define a still life or to capture sunlight in nature. Her subject matter is varied and ranges from floral and still life painting in her studio to plein air landscape painting. She also enjoys watercolour painting and is a member of the Canadian Whisky Painters.
