Born into an Artistic and creative family of Dutch-German Ancestry, ​choosing to become an artist seemed effortless and a natural progression in life. I have been drawing and painting most of my life. I never tire of creating my pieces. I have progressed from doing Landscapes and Seascapes early in my Art career, to portraiture later on. I am drawn to the flesh tones of my subjects. I love creating the subtle color changes in a subjects face as the light dances over the bone structures, catching an expression and a moment in time.
