Julie Drew

Art is communication, and through it we are able to listen and express our innermost thoughts, not only to ourselves, but to the world and spiritually to God. As Madeleine L’Engle said, “Art creates a window to God”. Julie has been painting and drawing with various mediums for over 30 years. Most of her paintings are in watercolour. She also uses her own handmade paper for painting, using multi media. Most of the subject matter is found in nature, from large landscapes to the small details of a flower, whether exploring one idea or a theme.
Julie received a BFA in Pictorial Media in 1987, from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, WA, USA. She uses her gift to teach others to communicate with art through classes, workshops and retreats in mediums such as: watercolor, acrylic, drawing, papermaking and mixed media.
