Keith Nolan is an Ojibwa Cree artist from Missanabie Cree First Nation located in northern Ontario. Raised in this beautiful, remote community, he did not experience sidewalks or pizza until he was 16 years old! Alberta has been his home for the last 20 years.
Always artistic, he began seriously painting in oils on canvas in the spring of 1997. He returned to school, attending the fine arts program at Grant MacEwan College for 2 years. Keith is engaged in the life long study of art – and he has enjoyed the opportunity to travel in Canada, the US and Europe to view and study paintings by the masters. His subject matter is varied, from still life to the capture of his cultural heritage.
