I am a Canadian artist originally from Amsterdam, Netherlands. I began painting as a form of artistic expression and have developed a distinct style of abstract perspective, enhanced by fresh, vibrant colours, creating strong compositions.
My medium of choice is acrylic. Acrylics are water-based, quick-drying, not reliant on any toxic solvents and can be applied to a wide range of surfaces. Because of the properties of its polymer base, acrylic paint can be used in thick applications similar to oils; the paints can also be thinned with water or medium and used in a manner comparable to watercolors. Acrylic is its own medium with its own possibilities, demonstrating the continual power and evolution of visual art.
