Allan is a self-taught carver working in chlorite, alabaster and soapstone for over 20 years. In 2020 he changed direction and made molds of his best selling & most popular designs, using discarded soapstone he casts replicas, paints them and applies a durable non scratch coating resulting in sculptures unequalled in color. This Formed Soapstone is catching the attention of many galleries and collectors. Currently represented Mountain Galleries (Banff, Jasper & Whistler), Art Space & Design - Calgary, as well as several locations in the Okanagan BC. Most recently has been the creation of Mountains from 33" -50" in width that are stunning. The runaway horses as well look great on a fireplace mantle or special shelf. All from recycled soapstone!
