Debra Rusler is also known as Horeczko Rusler, artist. She graduated in 2000 with a BFA in Art and Design from the University of Alberta. Debra travelled extensively during and after her time with the University and has had a studio practice of her own since 1999. Debra’s most recent art show was in Edmonton at Aria’s in November of 2017. In the past she has had several solo shows and work at The Front Gallery in Edmonton. You can find Horeczko Rusler artist page on Facebook.
Debra began her teaching career at Harcourt House in 2000-2006. She taught at many centres and schools on a one time basis and with extended projects as well, including being hired for a project at Grandview Heights and sessions at CASA centre with various health professionals. Having a family is a busy schedule, and Debra took time off to raise her son and do an Education degree at the University of Alberta. During this time, she worked for the City of Edmonton at the City Arts Centre, piloting the program at Terwillegar Recreation Centre. Debra eventually returned to Harcourt House in 2014 where she remains an Outreach Instructor for the Education program.
