The majority of my studio practice revolves around the idea of absence, specifically in regards to negative space. I predominantly use sculpted glass as a material to fill the voids between people and objects. The concept guides the use of my materials. I am fascinated by the way that the absence of something often becomes highlighted solely because of the fact that something or someone no longer exists. The absence in a sense materializes. My attempt is to highlight the negative spaces between people through the use of objects that initiate uncanny social interactions.
