Leanne is a landscape artist from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As a graduate of the Visual Fine Arts Program at the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta, Leanne has developed a style in which she injects bright, saturated colours into her works which result in unique landscapes that are energetic and bold.
Her acrylics which include “My Little Gems” and the Edmonton Cityscape Series, focus on colour and line and always deliver a punch. Leanne’s oils are applied with a blended brushstroke for a softer result but with equally bright colours.
She is drawn to the contrast of a linear city skyline next to the organic lines in the river valley or the sharp lines of a mountain next to a soft line of a stream. Leanne finds inspiration from Canada’s west coast to the Rocky Mountains to the Alberta prairies.
