Emilie St.Hilaire is a multidisciplinary artist of settler ancestry born in Thompson Manitoba and raised in Winnipeg’s francophone neighbourhood of Saint-Boniface, Treaty 1 territory. Emilie attended the University of Manitoba’s School of Art for her BFA Honours and in 2014 she completed her Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and Intermedia at the University of Alberta. Emilie is currently a doctoral candidate in the Humanities PhD program at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Her FRQSC-funded research examines the sub-cultural phenomenon of reborn dolls from a feminist perspective.
