Maya Ciring

I began playing the violin at 2 and a half years old using the Suzuki method. My mother (a Suzuki teacher) and grandmother were both violin players and teachers trained in Eastern Europe.

I have 18 years of teaching experience -both children and adults. I specialize in early beginners using Suzuki inspired methods to set up a strong foundation.

I completed my Royal Conservatory of Music by age 11, and did a minor in Viola at U of C while graduating with a Bachelor of Arts.

Currently I am working towards my Suzuki Teacher Certification, I presently teach private and group lessons in a home studio in Northwest Calgary.

I am also a faculty member at the North Calgary Strings Academy (NCSA).
