Double bassist Pablo Seib started his music studies in his native Buenos Aires. After a year of playing the bass, he was accepted at the University of Victoria, in British Columbia, to study with Catherine Garneau. After completing his B.Mus., Pablo moved to Montreal, where he obtained two degrees from the Université de Montréal, a master’s degree in interpretation under Marc Denis, and a DESS in orchestral bass performance under Jacques Beaudoin. For over twenty years, he has freelanced in both tango and classical ensembles.
Pablo has many years of teaching under his belt, notably as the bass tutor at FACE school in Montreal since 2002, teaching grades four to eleven. He is happy to have been Suzuki trained by Virginia Dixon, and is grateful for the generosity of Baudouin and all his past teachers.
