Whether presenting classical or contemporary music styles, Naomi conveys a sensitive musical artistry with a versatility founded on classical piano studies with Dr. Lyall Gustin, Gloria Saarinen and Dr. Robin Wood.
Naomi was accompanist and piano soloist in Western Canada Development Museum’s (Saskatoon) production of Showtime 1910!, and rehearsal pianist and orchestra member in Central Alberta Theatre’s production of Kiss Me Kate, Kamloops Symphony’s Anne of Green Gables and Oliver!, and Western Canada Theatre Company’s production of Fiddler on the Roof. She has shared her enthusiasm for the piano, and recently, the harp, with students of all ages in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.
Naomi is the principal harp and principal piano of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra. She is also a Certified Music Practitioner, providing therapeutic harp music to promote healing environments for patients in health care facilities. When not rehearsing with chamber ensembles, giving lessons or accompanying students in exams and festivals, Naomi enjoys gardening, exploring the Inside Passage of the West Coast, and working at Thompson Rivers University in the Open Learning department..
