Tyson began palying guitar in his early teens studying Rock, Blues and Aternative music. After discovering Classical guitar he pursued studies with Carl Lotsberg at the University of Alberta. He completed a Masters of Music at the University of Alberta after achieving his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with distinction and is now working on numerous recording and writing projects. During his studies he has explored Classical, Blues, Jazz, Rock and Flamenco furthering his abilities and understanding of music from around the word which has been influential in shaping his performance and teaching style.
Tyson offers guitar lessons at Taylor Conservatory of Music, Dominellis School of music, STRUNY, and Suzuki School. All levels of guitar are taught, from beginner to advanced players, and all styles of guitar including Classical guitar, Rock, Pop, Blues, and Folk on both acoustic and electic guitars.
