Centre[3] is engaged in a variety of other educational activities, including adult art workshops, arts education programs for schools, free workshops for people with lived experiences with mental health and/or addition, and arts programs for newcomers.
The NuSteel program is an alternative-education program run by the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, in partnership with Centre[3] for print and media arts. At NuSteel, students study 3 subjects per semester: English (any grade), Art (any grade), and a senior Social Science elective. Students engage in project-based learning, moving through the semester by studying units that tie their 3 subjects together.
Because Centre[3] is an artist-run print and media arts studio, students of the NuSteel program enjoy daily interaction with working artists and people working in the cultural sector.
