Born in Edmonton Alberta, currently residing in Quinte West.
MelHavok is a self-taught artist, left to her own devices in the art world.
From the moment she could hold a pencil, she experimented in shades, colouring and lining.
Today, MelHavok prefers acrylics for painting and charcoal for drawing.
She’s a jack of all trades, master of none. People view her art as expressive and detailed; art that tells a whole story in one captured moment on canvas.
She took an interest in tattooing, after a motorcycle accident took her ‘Police Officer’ dream off her list.
MelHavok started tattooing on herself to build up style and technique, and currently has completed over 150 private collections of tattoo art.
Art became important again as she refined her life. She has had art displayed at local events: Celebrating Success (June 2014-2015) with survivors of an ABI (acquired brain injury); as well as Uncorked in the County (2015).
Her art is housed in two private collections
