We’re a Toronto-based online biz whose mission is to help people reconnect to the joy and power of writing.

Every season we run a new slate of creative writing workshops on Zoom and when possible at our studio on The Danforth. We also work one-on-one with writers who are stuck on big projects, and we offer a creative writing subscription service called Hello Writer, delivering big envelopes of writerly support and inspiration to mailboxes every month.

Writing can be terrifying. It’s a complicated, deeply-personal forest that we find our way through differently. We help writers chart their paths, believe in their voices, and remember, right down to their bones, that they are never alone. We do that with joy, compassion, integrity and the fierce belief that every voice and every story deserves to be heard and celebrated.

  • Workshops

    Small group workshops are our deepest offering, opportunities to carve out real time and space for your writing in a small, committed community of support. Some of these are for absolute beginners and others are for seasoned writers. Some are themed and some are wide open. What they all share is encouragement, laughter, inspiration and a deep dedication to helping every participant realize their own creative power. With only seven participants per workshop, there is a lot of intimacy here. We find our power through sharing and talking about our writing in these workshops. We also offer large group writing programs. These programs have unlimited enrolment and are designed as solo journeys, in silent company with others. They do not involve sharing or getting feedback on writing, instead they are designed to create a writing experience. They are led with the same heart, care and passion that we bring to our more intimate small group workshops.
