Betty Carpick is a multi-disciplinary artist of aboriginal descent. Her practice includes writing, spoken word, visual art, theatre and film. She has taught the children’s Theatre in Education program at Magnus Theatre with a focus on play-based learning for 12 years. In 2014, she conceived and directed a short film, “impersians” which incorporates documentary footage and digital painting. She is directing the play, “People Like You” for the 10 x10 play project. Betty has participated in six OAC-funded film projects in various capacities. She is the Chair of the Flash Frame Film and Video Network.
