The Quebec Writers’ Federation (QWF) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting English-language literature in Quebec. We help writers develop their skills, capitalize on publishing opportunities, and gain recognition for their work through our annual book awards. We create a strong sense of community among our members to attract and retain talented writers and to keep the province's English-language culture vibrant.
Our multicultural community has deep roots in this province and strong ties to our Francophone counterparts. Each year we offer approximately 30 writers' workshops, a professional writing mentorship program, a community writing program for at-risk adolescents, a monthly spoken word cabaret, and many other programs. QWF welcomes all who are interested in writing, from students to internationally established authors.
