Our Foundation is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of older Canadians who live at home or in residential care, through music. Our programs create more age friendly communities and improve the life and care of older people, including those affected by dementia, and their caregivers.
We coordinate Silver Song Groups in the community to provide regular sessions of singing and music-making – primarily for seniors who are aging in place/at home. Our work is embedded in research undertaken by the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health based within Canterbury Christ Church University, in the UK.
