Harmony Project Sooke is a registered non-profit society that provides musical instruments and instruction to children and youth in the Sooke area.
Modeled on the award-winning Harmony Project in Los Angeles, the project in Sooke was launched in 2016 to promote the development of healthy youth and vibrant community through musical education and ensemble participation.
Research shows that playing musical instruments powerfully enhances brain development, and experience shows that taking part in music education promotes discipline, dedication and teamwork, not to mention joy!
Harmony Project Sooke offers the following programs for students in School District #62:
•Strings Classes for students in Grades 2-6
•Drumline for students in Grades 6 and up
