Clayworx: Ceramic Arts Learning Centre aspires to give everyone access to exceptional educational, artistic, and community-building experiences with clay and ceramic art. We believe working with clay empowers people to embrace their inner creativity, transforming how they feel about themselves and the connection between art and community-building.
Clayworx provides a broad array of year round learning opportunities for people aged 7 and up of all skill levels and interests. We are also host to approximately 140 individual members who use the Clayworx studios and state-of-the-art ceramic equipment to create their unique and beautiful work. The studio is supported by a full time studio technician.
In our heritage designated building we have a retail and gallery which sells at any given time, the work of 35-40 Clayworx artists. ​In April and November each year we also hold off-site sales called the Potters Market at which the diverse work of over 65 local clay artists is available to the public for purchase.

    We work with working artists who are paired with high school arts programs and have an Experiential Learning Program (ELP) with Beal Arts Program Ceramics Specialty.

    Clayworx is a destination for elementary and highschool groups in the private and public sectors/

  • Group Classes

    Clayworx has four class terms per year with programming for kids and adults beginners through to expert levels. Each term runs for 8-10 weeks and participants can take part in hand building, throwing or a combination of both techniques.

  • Camps

    We offer Clay camps for children and youth during March Break and through the summer holidays.

  • Workshops

    As an introduction to ceramics we host two hour classes in hand building and wheel throwing. Participants make a single piece that our staff fire and glaze for pick up.

  • Outreach Programs

    Clayworx has partnerships with area post secondary institutions as well as other arts organizations and culture centres where we host off site workshops.
