The Short-Term Projects component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds First Nations, Inuit and Métis professional and aspiring artists, cultural carriers, arts/cultural professionals, groups, collectives and arts/culture organizations. Grants provide support for any combination of eligible Creating, Knowing and Sharing activities for projects lasting up to 12 months.

ArtsNL - Equinor ArtsSmarts Scholarship

ArtsNL is a non-profit Crown agency created in 1980 by The Arts Council Act. Its mission is to foster and promote the creation and enjoyment of the arts for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

ArtsNL receives an annual grant from the Province to support a variety of granting programs, program delivery, office administration, and communications. It also seeks support from the public and private sector. It supports the following artistic disciplines: dance, film, multidiscipline, music, theatre, visual art, and writing.

The Canadian Art Inspiration Contest For Grades K–12

How to Enter
Awards will be announced in September of this year. Finalists’ artworks will be showcased in an online exhibition, and prizes will be awarded in different age groups (Kindergarten to Grade 3; Grades 4 to 6; Grades 7 to 9; and Grades 10 to 12), with $500 for first prizes and $250 for honourable mentions. The Small-Scale Activities component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds activities

The Small-Scale Activities component of Creating, Knowing and Sharing funds activities that will advance your artistic career or practice. This may include acquiring materials for artistic production, engaging in career or artistic development activities or benefitting from specific expertise, advice or training from a professional artist or cultural carrier. This component is open to First Nations, Inuit and Métis individuals, artistic groups, collectives and organizations working in all disciplines.

Youth Endowment Saskatoon (YES)

Young people who care about their communities are increasingly getting involved in philanthropy.

By forming Youth Advisory Councils (YACs) within local community foundations, young people come together to raise money, build endowment funds and make grants to local youth projects. YACs are in their teens and twenties, with a lot of ideas and energy to bring to the table. There are already YACs in more than 55 communities across Canada, and the momentum is building.

Fogarty's Cove Scholarship

THE FOGARTY’S COVE SCHOLARSHIP was established by Ariel Rogers and Mulgrave Road Theatre. It is based on a generous donation from Ariel Rogers of the royalty fees for the use of Stan Rogers’ songs in Mulgrave Road Theatre’s 1991 touring production FROM FOGARTY’S COVE. Due to the generous support from Ariel Rogers, the amount of the scholarship was increased from $200 to $500 in 2004.

The Cultural Events Fund (CEF) supports community activities such as festivals, events, and cultural projects across Newfoundland and Labrador, highlighting our unique cultural tapestry and creativity.

CEF supports public gatherings that facilitate celebration and/or preservation of local culture through presentation of, and engagement with, arts and heritage.
