Ce webinaire fera le point sur l’état actuel de ce secteur en pleine évolution et rappellera le rôle que jouent les artistes-enseignant e s dans les écoles, les communautés et la création artistique au Canada. Vous aurez l’occasion d’en apprendre plus sur cette profession, notamment les compétences requises et l’importance de créer un réseau mondial.
The field of teaching artistry is a sleeping giant—that is beginning to awaken. In this webinar you will learn about the current state of the field (in transition!) and the potential of teaching artistry for Canadian arts, communities, and schools. You will also find out what teaching artistry actually is, what its foundational skills are, and why it is becoming a global community.
Recipient of the Artist-Educator Award from the Ontario Arts Foundation in 2018, the artist Yao offers a webinar on the importance of the artist-educator (his role, his raison d’être) which provides the necessary elements to structure an effective artistic workshop for the school environment.

Submissions are now open for our second annual Playwriting Competition for Youth, The-Write-Stuff!
Québec-based playwrights aged 12-18 are eligible to enter, with a $500 cash prize awarded to the winning entry! Short-listed playwrights are provided with mentoring and dramaturgical feedback from industry professionals to hone their skills, talents, and confidence. Short-listed plays will be offered a professional staged reading featuring some of Montréal’s finest actors.
