Do you know what your legal rights are as an exhibiting public artist, and how to protect yourself? From understanding contracts, to payment structures, copyright and image ownership, many artists learn about their rights through trial and error. 

The Coming Out Monologues

For over a decade we have supported LGBTQ2S+ folx to take their stories from the private to the public and then create a performance. We are once again bringing these stories into the light. Join us at the Eighty Eight Brewing Co. from 7-9 PMish on December 12th. We will be showcasing the funny, poignant and personal stories of 6 folx who are trying to make their way in the world as queer. Admission is free and everyone gets a $5 bar tab to enjoy whatever refreshments they like.

Creative City Summit 2022

Waterloo's Creative City Summit will be held both in person and online. Registration will open in the spring of 2022.

Connecting with sector colleagues is an essential part of developing culture in Canada. Every year, delegates representing culture work across the country gather to share, learn, and grow. The Creative City Summit offers content that is national in scope and addresses the breadth of issues within the practice of local cultural development for communities of different sizes and geographies.

Get ready for Summer POP! Join us this July for FREE online art activities, every Monday through Thursday. These daily artmaking breaks are open to children of all ages and you can do them all at home, inside or out! Each day has something new to offer.

Each activity is inspired by Andy Warhol and the Pop art movement and they're led by a team of creative AGO Art Instructors. You'll discover fun new ways to express yourself with themes like Volume, Repetition, Colour and Movement.
