Driftwood Theatre’s Creative Roots Theatre Training Intensive for Young Artists is a summer program providing opportunities for the next generation of artists to train in the three areas of performance particular to Driftwood’s work: text, vocal choral music, and movement-based theatre.
Participants are immersed in the world of professional theatre for two weeks, conducting their work alongside and under the mentorship of Driftwood artists. Participants will observe rehearsals for The Bard’s Bus Tour, take part in workshops and seminars, see some excellent Toronto theatre, and prepare their own piece for public performance for an audience.
The Creative Roots Intensive is a two-week, eleven-day program, open FREE OF CHARGE* to passionate performers, ages 14 – 19, who are hoping for a career in performance.
TRAVEL BURSARIES FOR ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS. In partnership with TD Bank Group, Driftwood Theatre is excited to provide Travel Bursaries to eligible applicants to cover some or all of their Creative Roots travel expenses during the two-week Intensive.
