The Teacher Education Office in the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia is proud to host the 32nd annual WestCAST conference. We would like to extend an open invitation to everyone involved in teacher education, throughout the western provinces and elsewhere, to this exciting event.
WestCAST (Western Canadian Association for Student Teaching) is a unique education conference held annually by the Faculties of Education in one of the four western provinces. It is a conference that focuses on topics related to teacher education and student teaching. It attracts a diverse audience which includes university administrators and teacher educators, graduate students, practising teachers, and of course undergraduate student teachers.
WestCAST 2020 will be held Wednesday, February 19 to Friday, February 21, 2020 at the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus, bringing together over 600 education faculty and teacher education students for three days of conversation and engagement on topics that are relevant in today’s world of teaching.
