Jessie is author of Tax Smarts for Artists and Money Smarts for Visual Artists (Amazon)Jessie has been a professional visual artist for over 50 years, a teacher, and stock photographer, with extensive experience dealing with accounting, and tax matters that artists face.
She has lectured at the National Gallery of Canada, and has advised clients as a Certified Financial Planner. She has also successfully responded to a CRA audit as an artist.
Recently she is in demand as a speaker on issues for artists (tax, pricing art, photo based art as a medium) by Ottawa Art Gallery, ALSO (Artists Legal Services of Ottawa) and various regional arts groups.
