Stephen works primarily with Oil paints, and strives to find light and colour and uses confident brushwork as well as pallet knives and sometimes his fingers while painting. He always tries to express his feelings in what he is painting and hopes to bring the observer closer to his thoughts about the images he observes in his daily life and especially in the way people interact with their surroundings.
Stephen had all of his submitted works recognized by the American Art Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012, 2014 and 2016 by being awarded a number of 1st, 3rd and 5th places in a variety of Painting categories. This is a competition open to all artists from around the world and is juried by 25 well- respected galleries across the United States. Stephen was also a winner in of the Artisan Direct International Fine Art Competition, and was chosen over 1000's of other great artists through the competition's selection process.
