My art is a study of textures and contrasts in response to memories and emotional triggers. I layer nostalgic elements such as time-honoured hand stitching and vintage imagery with the patina of urban detritus, discarded papers, graffiti and bold colour choices. The incongruity of these materials and imagery merge together seamlessly, creating pieces that feel raw and honest and a little bit surprising.
I am a Canadian born mixed media artist and graphic designer living in my home town of Vancouver British Columbia. I studied fine arts at Langara Collage in Vancouver, followed by graphic design at Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Ontario.
