Ashley Thimot is an up and coming Canadian artist born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Her current preferred medium is oil but growing up she loved to experiment with a variety of mediums. Her curiosity and love of art revealed the talents that eventually led her to study Fine Arts at Mount Allison University, in Sackville, New Brunswick. After her first year, she transferred to Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in Halifax to pursue graphic design. In April 2007 Ashley completed her Bachelor of Design with a Major in Graphic Design. Throughout her time at NSCAD she nourished her passion for fine arts through painting, illustration, and life drawing.
Immediately after graduation, Ashley moved to Western Canada and began working in the fields of Design and Marketing. During this period Ashley continually created pieces for pleasure and practice.
