Lora Northway and Boy Roland are multidisciplinary artists who focus on community art and graffiti. As arts educators with over 10 years’ experience, they founded the Die Active Art Collective, the largest art collective in Canada with almost 600 members. In the past six years, they have facilitated dozens of art events, workshops and group graffiti murals including Waverly Library, Mac’s Convenience stores, Cooke Street, Children’s Centre Thunder Bay, Gender Issues Centre at LU, and more. This street art duo likes to work collaboratively with groups of youth to create memorable and youth-relevant art that engages and excites those involved. They love to explore projects relating to stencil work, lettering, silk screening/ wearable art, characters & animation, mixed media painting, mural making, collage, and overall fun & explosive mess making.
